Love is the way forward! Moon conjunct the North Node in Leo - Looking within ourselves and leading from the heart This lunar eclipse is asking us is to look inwards at ourselves into our hearts. and express what makes our hearts sing. Leo rules: LOVE, the heart, courage, bravery, INNER STRENGTH, nobility, being noble, LEADERSHIP (through the heart), CONFIDENCE, taking charge, being in the spotlight, CREATIVITY, self-expression, special talents, CHILDREN, (our inner child), warmth and generosity, ROMANCE, passions, risk-taking, play, recreational activities and FUN. We are being asked to build our spiritual power with the inward, lunar, feminine aspects by:
So, you may ask yourself:
If not, why not? This is what the North Node in Leo is calling to you. Now is your time to get in touch with all these Leo traits in your life. Doing so with the feminine aspects, by turning inward, is the best way to use the energy. When it comes to the heart, fear can get in the way, and we will talk about that next. Sun conjunct South Node in Aquarius – Evaluating our traumas and fears Aquarius rules: The MIND, groups of like-minded people, the MASSES or society at large, the news and SOCIAL MEDIA, the humanitarian, social activism, the REVOLUTION, the unique individual, inventions, ingenuity, INNOVATION, out- of-the-box thinking, objectivity, the FUTURE, the new-age, space age, and TECHNOLOGY to name a few. When the South Node is conjunct the Sun it represents releasing the aspects of our lives that keep us disconnected from our spirit. When we live from this disconnected place we can become ego-driven, arrogant, self-absorbed, controlling, and impatient, have entitlement complexes, be overly dramatic, project our shadow sides onto others, or express raging fits of our will to get our needs met. The eclipse is asking us to release these energies from our psyches. Negatively, Aquarius is unpredictability, chaos and trauma since it is ruled by Uranus. Uranus is considered the great “disrupter,” “revolutionary,” “or liberator.” In the most extreme cases, its energy can feel like a powerful bolt of lightning striking our lives and results in a shock to our emotional and nervous systems. The trauma can feel so overwhelming to our psyches, that it makes it very hard to process the event and understand how to recover from it. Therefore, the resulting symptoms are typically confusion, disbelief, denial, anxiety, fear, trouble concentrating, anger, mood swings or PTSD. There are a great many people suffering from some type of emotional trauma in their lives. The hardest trauma to recover from happens when we are children when we are still learning how to be human, unable to process logic and emotions as well as an adult can. We can begin to look back and ask ourselves if there has been anything in our lives as children that we have denied or suppressed in order to move on. Are there any circumstances that we should go back to and understand, so that we can appropriately heal from it, so we can live more fully though the heart? We can also experience current traumas in our lives such as a car crash, the death of a loved one, losing the job you loved, or experiencing the betrayal of someone you placed trust in. There is still a lot of trauma happening within our societies broadcasted every day on the news from war, sexual assault in Hollywood, world-wide child pedophilia rings, and an opioid and prescription drug crisis to name a few. During the eclipse, we may be asked to evaluate our personal and collective traumas. Are we coping with trauma by being overly detached and distant from our inner security and hearts, by displaying dissociation (PTSD), having fears, phobias or anxiety, creating social isolation, lacking healthy objectivity and taking everything personally, being rebellious or the rebel without a cause, or the know it all and not needing any advice? Where you have 11 degrees of Aquarius is where you might be manifesting these more negative traits to be released in your life during this eclipse. Look to see what is in and on your 11th house and its ruler and where Uranus is as well to find more clues. Venus Conjunct South Node and Sun – Fixing Relationship, Values, Abundance Issues
There is strong emphasis on courageously resurrecting the strength of feminine leadership back into our current society and healing thousands of years of trauma related to banishing her from our psyches, from our societies, diminishing her status within the patriarchal society. During this time you will see the strength and hearts of women continue to courageously rise up to heal and soothe our society with grace and nurturance on our evolutionary paths forward. How many women are being called to utilize technology and social media to offer healing in their own unique ways, or offer a voice for the empowerment women (like the Women's march or the Me Too movement) and other causes, or to just blog about what they love to do? Are we going to be able to integrate more feminine aspects of ourselves like love, intuition, creativity, imagination, healthy relations, peace, ease, beauty, prosperity for all into our patriarchal culture? Are we going to realize abundance for the world is sitting right in front of us? Venus represents what we value in our lives, financial matters, healthy relationships, socialization, love, ease, pleasure, peace and the beautiful and enjoyable side of life. When she is conjunct the South Node, becoming aware of how we may be inappropriately handling these energies comes in focus. We might overdo or underdo her energies and a need to bring it back into harmonious balance is key by eliminating the more negative manifestations and aiming for the more positive aspects of her in our lives. Positive Venus energy is:
Venusian energy expressed negatively by extremes is:
Venus is also conjunct the Sun which will help to give us a positive boost of her balanced qualities once we have released what no longer serves us. This will further shine a light on love, relationships and creativity, helping us to feel warmth and affection in moving forward with what makes our heart sing. For those who are experiencing this eclipse in balance they will be feeling a sense of accomplishment during this time. A sense of resolution, completion, a climax or a realization. Here are some examples of how it could manifest in the best and most positive sense:
Jupiter Square Venus – Motivated by love or overindulged, passive and lazy? Jupiter rules our search for meaning, TRUTH, ethical values, our belief systems (philosophically, spiritually or religiously), it provides optimism, inspiration, visions, and therefore, expansion. A square will create an appropriate amount of tension or stress to “push” this Jupiter energy to support our Venusian energies. Positively on a personal level, with the right touch, this aspect can give us a generous push in finding right relationships both romantically and socially (within groups), having abundance for ourselves and those around us, finding the time and outlets to enjoy ourselves in pleasurable activities, creating fulfilling work/life balances, working less and earning more (yes it is possible!), or feeling inspired with creative visions for a bright future. Negatively, with the square, watch for how your beliefs steer you into being over-indulgent, overspending, greedy, extravagant, lazy, passive, waiting for things to come to you rather than grasping at new opportunities, and working longer hours with less time for happiness, recreation and play. Watch for spending on anything you do not need or entering into relationships that are fun in the moment but not beneficial in the long run is not a useful application of the energy. Saturn is Unaspected – Will our current structures impede us or do they need to be evaluated and strengthened? When a planet is unaspected it means that its powers can either be heightened, and made to feel extra special, creating strong, dominant talents, or it can feel disconnected, vulnerable and isolated. Saturn rules structure, discipline and physical reality. It also rules government, corporations and oppression. It can indicate “the father” in a chart. On the positive side, this will further suggest that we are breaking away from the patriarchy. We will be called to focus on looking at how we plan and structure our lives or the structures in our lives (personally and collectively) which uphold our physical world, our realities, and determine if they work for us or not. If not, we can annex them and create new ones in place of the old. Structures that uphold our lives can be anything you do to put form to your life: going to the gym so we can stay healthy, going to work so we can earn a living, planning a vacation so we can relax, making lists or using planners so we can accomplish what we need to do every day. An unaspected Saturn during this full Moon lunar eclipse further emphasizes the focus of these structures, our government, our policies, corporations and any oppression we feel.
These are some of the collective questions to be asking. There are so many more personal and collective interpretations you can start to assimilate to understand the deeper dimensions of your life path and our journeys together over the next 6 months. These are food for thought to get you started! What is important is seeing for yourself how it shows up in your life every day and harnessing it to make it work for you! Remember to release what no longer serves you during the lunar eclipse so the upcoming solar eclipse can bring rejuvenation into your life just in time for spring and the Vernal equinox! Blessings to you! See you soon for the solar eclipse coming up in Aquarius Feb 15th! Ride those cosmic waves and may the force be with you!
